Kevin Michael Williams was lost on September 11, 2001 in the World Trade Center attacks like so many hard working and innocent people. He was one of the most promising young members of his hometown Shoreham, New York and Boston College, his alma mater.

One of Kevin’s many talents and passions was baseball. Kevin’s love for baseball inspired his family and fiancée to establish the Kevin Williams Memorial Foundation “to keep his spirit alive and to give a lot of children the opportunity to learn and enjoy baseball.”

This is a picture and an email recently received from a boy that the Kevin Williams Foundation had sent to baseball camp and supplied his first baseball equipment several years ago.

"Hello Mrs. Williams,
This picture is from my first JV start because I was hurt last year. I threw the whole game 100 pitches 3 hits 11 strike-outs. We won 6-0 against Central Islip . And as you can see I still wear 16 in memory of Kevin."
